Gymnasts Attends Lecture on Competitive Spirit
With the National Championships being only weeks away, National Team Athletes Cultural and Educational Center has organized a lecture over the weekend for all gymnasts that focuses on the core substance of the “Sword Spirit” or competitive spirit. The lecture was intended to inspire gymnasts to own the moment in competitions with indomitable fighting will to win.
Team Leader Coach Ye Zhennan explains that in competition, in addition to superb techniques, athletes also need to have strong mental qualities in order to withstand the pressure at the critical moment. Coaches hope their gymnasts to have a more in depth understanding of the “Sword Spirit” and apply what they’ve learned in competition.

Of course, one of the most hotly contested gymnastics events during the 2008 Beijing Olympics was the uneven bars final, with that mess between He Kexin, Yang Yilin, Nastia Liukin, and Beth Tweddle. 2013 “Li Ning Cup” China Eastern Regional Gymnastics Exchange & Collaboration Tournament, April 4-11
Not much is known about the details of this competition since it’s not open to public. Rumor has it that many of the top tier gymnasts will participate in this tournament, some leaked names include Tan Sixin, Jiang Yuyuan, Wu Liufang and Sui Lu. This tournament serves as a verification for the results of each gymnast’s winter training; it is also set up to prepare the gymnasts for the upcoming National Gymnastics Championships in May.

WAG Gymnasts at the Dumpling Party
Chinese New Year is approaching fast, and it’s not new years without the holiday’s most important dish - Jiaozi (dumplings). Our WAG gymnasts were recently invited to a dumpling party ^_^ They look so serious making dumplings ^.~
